Q. What do you understand about Self-Awareness? Explain with an example.
INTRODUCTION
Self-awareness means knowing and understanding ourselves. It is the ability to understand our thoughts, feelings, behaviour, interests, strengths and weaknesses. When we are self-aware, we can understand why we feel or behave in a particular way. It helps us to know what we are good at and what things we need to improve.
Self-awareness is very important in student life. It helps students make better decisions, control their emotions and improve their confidence. It also helps us understand how our behaviour affects other people. By knowing our weaknesses, we can work on them, and by knowing our strengths, we can use them in a positive way.
For example, suppose a student is good at writing and understanding subjects but feels nervous while speaking in front of the class. The student realizes that public speaking is a weakness. Instead of avoiding presentations, the student starts practising by speaking in front of friends and family. After regular practice, the student becomes more confident and comfortable while speaking.
This example shows that understanding our own strengths and weaknesses helps us improve ourselves. Self-awareness also teaches us to accept ourselves honestly and work towards becoming a better person.
conclusion,
self-awareness is an important part of personal development. It helps us understand ourselves, improve our weaknesses, use our strengths and face different situations with more confidence.
